SNOW, YES SNOW, IN JERUSALEM!!!
The ‘blizzard’ in late January, which was dubbed Winter Storm Elpis, was the first time ever that some of our girls saw real, live snow. There are so many parts of central and southern Israel that our children hail from that, for many, this was their first memorable snowfall. According to Israel's meteorological service, between 15 and 25 cm (6 – 10 inches) of snow fell overnight. Since it was announced that schools in Jerusalem would be closed on Thursday, the GTJers took the opportunity to turn Wednesday into a “White-Night”, staying up into the wee hours to watch the Golden City turn White!!
